Terms of Service
What you agree to by using Artive, and what we agree to in return.
Last updated 12 September 2026 · Artive is operated by Sourcedragon LLC
Who this agreement is between
These terms are between you and Sourcedragon LLC, the operator of artivegallery.com ("Artive", "we", "us"). By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, do not create an account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Artive. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Artive with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Your work stays yours
You keep full ownership and copyright of everything you upload. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of your artwork to us.
You grant us a limited licence to store your files, display them to the people you choose to show them to, and generate the derivatives the product needs to function: thumbnails, a web-sized display copy, the PDF portfolio export, and a printed book if you order one. That licence exists only so the software can do its job. It ends when you delete the work or close your account.
We do not sell your work. We do not licence it to anyone else. We do not use it to train machine learning models, and we do not permit our vendors to use it for that purpose.
What you upload
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload work you did not make or do not have permission to publish.
Artive is for work you made, by hand or digitally. Do not upload images generated by an AI model and present them as your own work. We remove them, and repeatedly posting them is grounds for suspending or closing the account.
This is about authorship, not tools. Digital painting, vector work, photobashing, 3D rendering and photography are all work somebody made, and all belong here. Using an AI tool somewhere inside a piece you made is not what this rule is about. An upscale, a de-noise, a background fill are all fine.
Do not upload content that is illegal, that sexualises minors, that exists to harass a specific person, or that infringes someone else's copyright.
Uploaded artwork passes through an automated moderation check before it is published. Automated checks are imperfect in both directions. If yours is wrongly refused, contact us and a person will look at it.
Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe work on Artive infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent:
Designated agent: Elijah Cluff
Organization: Sourcedragon LLC
Email: support@artivegallery.com
Copyright Office registration: DMCA-1077415
Your notice needs to identify the copyrighted work, identify the material you say infringes it and where to find it on Artive, give your contact details, and state that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorised and that the information is accurate. Sign it, physically or electronically.
We act on valid notices and remove or disable access to the material.
If your work was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address.
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing carries liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). This is not a channel for disputes that are not about copyright.
Free and paid tiers
Artive has a free tier and a paid tier called Artive Create.
The free tier includes unlimited galleries and uploads, the High-Res Vault (your untouched original file kept and downloadable), the five free frames, the full-screen viewer, tags and manual sorting, the PDF portfolio export, ordering printed books, and a public profile. These are not trial features and they do not expire.
Artive Create costs $8 a month or $88 a year and adds the full frame catalogue, the auto-crop scanner, process stages, the daily stART generator, the Weekly Universal, private feedback threads, saves and following.
We may change what is in each tier. If we move something out of the free tier and into the paid one, we will tell subscribers and free users in advance rather than doing it silently.
The free trial
New subscribers get 14 days of Artive Create free. A payment method is collected when the trial starts, but nothing is charged until the trial ends.
The trial is available once per customer. If you subscribe, cancel, and subscribe again, the second subscription starts billing immediately.
Cancel at any point before the trial ends and you are not charged at all.
Billing and renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, monthly or yearly, whichever you chose, until you cancel. This is stated again on the checkout page before you pay.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Prices may change. If a price changes, it will not affect the period you have already paid for, and we will give you notice before the change takes effect so you can cancel if you would rather not continue.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it over several days and email you. Your access continues during that window rather than being cut off at the first failure. If the retries do not succeed, the subscription ends and the account returns to the free tier.
Cancelling, and what happens to your work
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Artive Create → Manage billing. There is no cancellation fee and no retention flow designed to stop you.
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep Artive Create until that date.
This is the part worth reading carefully: your work is not held hostage. After a subscription ends, your galleries, your uploads, your original files and your ability to download them all continue to work, because those are free-tier features and always were.
What stops is the paid functionality: you can no longer add new process stages, start new feedback threads, save or follow, submit to the Weekly Universal, use the scanner, or apply premium frames to work you edit afterwards. Premium frames on existing work are set aside and come back exactly as they were if you resubscribe; the free frames stay as they are.
You can always remove your own data, subscribed or not: unsave, unfollow, delete stages, withdraw entries. Locking someone out of removing their own data to pressure them into paying is not something we will do.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account. Doing so deletes your profile, galleries, artwork and original files.
Deletion is permanent and we cannot recover the files afterwards. Download anything you want to keep first. The vault gives you the original of every piece.
Backups may retain copies for a short period after deletion before they roll over. We do not use them to restore deleted accounts.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms: infringing copyright, harassing people, uploading illegal content, or posting work it did not make.
We keep a record of reports and of what was done about each one. Accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright, or repeatedly post work they did not make, are suspended or closed. This is a policy we apply, not only one we publish.
Where the situation allows it, we will tell you what the problem is and give you the chance to fix it before doing anything permanent.
A suspension hides your work from other people. It does not delete anything, and it does not lock you out of your own account: you can still sign in, see everything you have uploaded, download your original files and export your portfolio. Suspensions can be lifted, and the reason is shown to you.
Availability, and the honest limits
Artive is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not promise it will keep every file forever.
The vault is a convenience, not a backup service. Keep your own copies of work that matters to you. This is not us avoiding responsibility. It is the right thing to do with any single service, including ours.
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice before it takes effect rather than changing the page quietly.
The date at the top of this page is the last substantive change.
